For our application we were looking for an inexpensive
small portable air compressor that could easily be carried in a
motorhome or toy hauler and be used while out camping and playing
with our big-boys toys. We chose Harbor Freight Tools' Central Pneumatic
47407-1VGA Air Compressor for its low price, small size, relatively
light weight, and its air pressure and output ratings. The Central
Pneumatic 47407-1VGA Air Compressor can easily be carried from the
garage to a motorhome or toy hauler and back again after the trip
if you do not care to leave it in your RV.

Compressor
The Central Pneumatic
47407-1VGA Air Compressor works best when its air tank is full,
but you have to remember that it only holds 2 gallons. We knew up-front
that we were not going to be able to use a sander, impact wrench
or other high volume air-consuming tool and had to keep reminding
ourselves that this was a small portable air compressor. It did
do a great for the applications that we listed above. Again our
intent was to find a small, light-weight, affordable air compressor
that we could use with a generator while out camping and riding,
and the Central Pneumatic 47407-1VGA Air Compressor fit the bill
perfectly. This is not an air compressor that you would want to
buy and use in your garage for larger applications, like with an
impact wrench, sander, etc., as it does not have the ability to
deliver a large amount of air volume (CFM) to handle such tasks.
